 Pastor
Ken Tang-Quan
has been serving as senior pastor of the Palos Verdes
Baptist Church since 1994. He was previously associate pastor at
Chinese Baptist Church in Seattle for 8 years. He has also ministered
as a teacher at a Christian school, both at the elementary school and
junior high/high school levels. He is a graduate of the University of
California at Berkeley (B.A.in Psychology) and Dallas Theological
Seminary (Th.M. in Christian Education).
Pastor Ken was born
and raised on the island of
Trinidad in the
Caribbean. His family immigrated to the United States when he was
finishing up high school. He met his wife, Debbie, at their home church
in San Francisco. They have been married for 24 years and have three
children: Sharon, Karis, and David. Pastor Ken enjoys reading, table
tennis, and cheering his children on in their academic, athletic, and
artistic pursuits as they make Christ the center of their lives.
