  Operation Christmas Child

This 2007 holiday season, the PVBC family will take part again in Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan Purse. Filling shoe boxes with small toys, school supplies, hygiene products and other gifts is one way that we are able to share Christ's love with a needy child.

A group of PVBC Youth and Adults also will spend their day after Thanksgiving not at the mall, but at the Operation Christmas Child warehouse in Orange County. There they will help check over the shoe boxes donated by various indivduals and organizations and package the boxes for shipping to such destinations as the Philippines, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Panama, Nepal and China.

Sign up if you plan to go to the warehouse at a new location in Irvine. We are leaving from the PVBC parking lot at 9 a.m. on Friday, November 23rd and returning around 4 p.m.  You must be at least 13 years old to attend.

WRAPPING
Use your own shoe boxes or buy the smaller plastic containers at the nearby 99 Cent Store. Wrap your box if you like (not required) but be sure to wrap the lid separate.

SHIPPING
Brochures will be available at the Connection Table. Include a check or money order donation to "Samaritan's Purse" for $7 or more for each box to help cover shipping and other costs.  Tape a "Boy" or "Girl" label onto each box (found on the back of the brochure).
