NEWS & REMINDERS

BBQ: Everyone is invited to a BBQ at PVBC after service on
Sunday, Aug 10th. Plan on a
great time of fellowship and free food

Retreat registrations are due now! Important: You need to have an attending parent or
designated guardian (who is 18 or older) for any day you are at the retreat. This includes Friday!
·
**NEW** Backpacks
for Kids: PVBC is showing the love of Christ to needy children in
the Harbor area by donating school supplies to LoveINC
(in the Name of Christ). Pick up a shopping list and turn in your donations by
August 10th.
·
Parents Appreciation: The youth group would like to spend a night showing their love and
appreciation to their parents. Friday, July 25th, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Dinner will be provided so RSVP to Kevin Mats by July 20th.

Games Night! Bring your favorite
games on Tuesday evenings, July 8, 15 & 29, anytime from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. Adults, youth
& kids, play your favorite unplugged games, like Monopoly, Guesstures, Outburst, and enjoy being ohana.

Saturday Night Out/Dance Lessons
will be held on the following dates: July 19, July 26 and August 2. Dinner starts at 6:00, followed by dance
lessons at 7:30.
Adults and youth, singles or couples are all welcome. Invite your friends for a night of food,
fellowship and dance!

Joyful Noise Music Camp is looking for
volunteers. If you can help, contact
Mrs. Huang or Mrs. Akiyama.

Mexico Missions Trip: Team meetings
are on June 8, July 6, 27 and Aug 3 after small groups.

2008 Annual Passes – if you go to many of our events, and your
parents don’t want to keep filling out a new permission slip every time, have
them fill out a “2008 PVBC Annual Pass” (get one in the fellowship hall or
online)
·

Got a “God-story” to share? Tell it to your peers on a Friday
night as a testimony and praise to God!
·
Accountability Groups: Grab some brothers (if you’re a guy) or
sisters (if you’re a girl) and meet regularly for prayer and to support each
other in your spiritual walk.
·
Take care...around our church:
· Be
quiet when others are in class or worship!
· Keep
things neat; don’t leave your stuff at church!
·
Use the blue “Recycle” bin outside the fellowship hall for
aluminum cans, glass and plastic bottles, and newspapers. No trash please
(food, etc.).
·
Magazines, Bibles, Devotionals & Answers to Tough Questions:
Check out some great Bibles for sale at cost (Quest, Student Life Application).
Also, free personal devotional books, magazines and Focus on the Family’s
answers to tough questions booklets…all free at the resources table.
