But We're Speaking Japanese! (John 10:24-28)

When we listen to others, are we truly listening to what they are saying or do we have our perceptions colored by our prejudices and expectations? It could be, if you believe this light-hearted video.

Jesus Christ spoke plainly to everyone who would listen to Him. He demonstrated the works of God through miracles. He taught with a unique authority, like no other teacher who had previously lived or since. And yet, even when He was right in front of His critics, some refused to believe in Him. They were blinded by their own prejudices and preconceived notions what the Messiah should be. They were convinced that they were right and He was wrong.

Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
Jesus answered them, “ I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father's name, they bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me, And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."
John 10:24-28

Even if we have attended church or Sunday school all our lives or were raised in a Christian home, we may not truly know who Jesus Christ really is. There is only one truth. Jesus Christ is God and only by accepting Him as our Lord and Savior will we be forgiven of our sins and be saved. There is no other name under Heaven or on earth by whom we can be saved. Jesus’ message of salvation is to all of us.

Are you truly listening or only hearing what you want to hear?

Love and respect the Lord; seek His will in your life.
