Right in Front of Me! (1 Peter 2:25)

It was the usual hustle and bustle of fellowship after church. Instead of gathering in the fellowship hall, the congregation was meeting and greeting outside, near the classrooms. Being height challenged, it was difficult for me to see over the crowd as I searched for my young son. It was an unfamiliar protocol for him and I was concerned he may be confused or lost. After several minutes of searching, I shook my head and looked down, only to see my son standing in front of me and looking up at my face.  Before I could say anything, he opened wide his arms so that I could eagerly embrace him. What a relief! All along, he was right in front of me!

Ever search for God’s blessings only to find it was right in front of you all along? We can do many things to take the place of God, but the result is restlessness, boredom, and a same ‘ol same ‘ol attitude. However we stray, it is a comfort to know that God takes the initiative to find us and when He does, opens His arms to completely embrace us and welcome us back.

For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
1 Peter 2:25

God keeps us secure in His love, even when we think we need something else.

Aloha blessings!
